STOP PRESS: NEW VENUE FOR HVRAC EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

For a while now the HVRAC committee and it's members have been looking around for a more appropriate venue for the club to hold their shows.

This is due to the twin arenas at Allandale not being totally suitable for our needs. The twin arenas has issues such as no stables, arena flooding (which caused last minute show cancellations), no seating for spectators, no secure perimeter fencing and no canteen facilities.

An opportunity came up just recently for us to look at an indoor arena which would solve all these issues and an emergency informal gathering of as many of the committee and members who were available at such short notice to inspect the facilities at the venue was held so we could see what was on offer and make a decision.

We are very pleased that it was unanimous that the new venue is indeed more suitable and everyone present felt it has huge potential to improve the club both in attendances and facilities.

So I am very pleased to inform you that we have decided to relocate our club to the NSW Equestrian Centre, Windermere Road, Lochinvar effective immediately so that our back to back shows this month can be held there.

The new facilities include a large indoor arena which is big enough to have both rings operate at the same time, stables (available at a cost of $16.50 per day), a canteen with indoor seating (from which the arena can be seen, spectator grandstand type seating at the canteen end, wash bays, fully double fenced parking area for floats, camping sites and showers (unpowered site $20 per weekend, powered sites $25 per weekend),  an outdoor warmup arena and a covered walkway near the stables for hot or wet weather.

This means we will no longer have to cancel shows due to bad weather or arena flooding, we can hold shows all year round if voted, no more canteen problems, you can sit down in the canteen and relax whilst watching the show, horses can be stabled (if pre-booked) and horses tied to floats will be securely fenced.

Volunteers are urgently needed to attend a working bee to clean up the indoor arena seating, the kitchen area and tidy up the area outside the indoor arena which will need whipper snippering and maybe some weeding. We are planning on doing this on saturday 14th February at 10am so if you can help in any way please let me know asap.

We look forward to seeing you there.
